Photonic-chip-based dense entanglement distribution

Abstract The dense quantum entanglement distribution is the basis for practical communication, networks and distributed computation. To make processes stable enough large-scale applications, it necessary to perform them with integrated pattern. Here, we first integrate a wavelength-division demultiplexing system unbalanced Mach-Zehnder interferometers on one photonic chip demonstrate multi-channel wavelength multiplexing among chips. Specifically, use as sender produce high-performance wideband photon pairs, which are then sent two receiver chips through 1-km standard optical fibers. includes realizes multi-wavelength-channel energy-time generation analysis. High interference visibilities prove effectiveness of multi-chip system. Our work paves way entanglement-based key networks.
